Plant-dyed organic yarn
Our yarn is produced with the finest wool from Argentina, from sheeps that live on grazes not treated with chemicals and fertilizers. The yarn is dyed with ancient, environment-friendly techniques that maintain the softness of the wool, and give it clear and gentle colors.
There are many ways of dying with plants. To make sure that the color remains stably in the wool, every phase in the coloring process must be optimal. Especially for the large quantities and the high pace required in the production and commercialization of yarn, the temptation to introduce fast solutions and chemical and effective treatments of the wool are great. In the coloring process adopted by our Italian partners, we completely avoid the use of chemicals to maintain this special. The yarn is certified organic,
non-mulesed and as mentioned, no chemicals have been applied in the
coloring. The yarn is of exquisite quality and we can offer Extra Fine
Merino, 19 micron, 12 colours and 3 thicknesses. The names of our items have
been given accordingly to the characters from the books of the Norwegian
writer Sigrid Undset in her Poem Kristin Lavransdatter and Olav Audunssøn. Read on

Our yarn is as mentioned non-treated with chemicals and is therefore a
"living" yarn. For this reason it is not as perfect in the
structure as traditional yarn that have gone through several chemical
processes to standardize their characteristics. It can
therefore twirl if knitted with circular needles.
